Yes, there was a blogging break on the weekend. We went and visited my mother, who had her 83rd birthday: we did not bring keyboard or laptop, but instead I read books. Real ones: I usually use an e reader. It is good to visit family and celebrate that we are still in this land, together. And it was good to not be in winter, but further north, where it is still autumn.
A Song of Ascents.
121 I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot be moved;
he who keeps you will not slumber.
4 Behold, he who keeps Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your keeper;
the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
6 The sun shall not strike you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will keep you from all evil;
he will keep your life.
8 The Lord will keep
your going out and your coming in
from this time forth and for evermore.
Psalm 121, ESV
We are living in a time of great change, and where there is a disconnect between the agenda of the elite and the people. The vision of the elite is Disneyworld: we will be be one people. worshiping the myths that can be marketed and that conform with the narrative of the woke. The vision of Christ is that we will be like him, and endure, as we await the return of our Lord. We are promised that he will preserve us, not us, for we would, given our own way, follow the herd and adore the new woke Molech Mouse.
The elite will hate us, for they hate Christ. But we were never called to be like them.
