Sunday, 17 November 19.

I know too many pagans. They are very spiritual. They must have the correct attitudes, activities, and rituals. They must be woke. Though it damns them. Adam has describes such in a thousand carefully chosen words, which means he has seen such in the leafy suburbs of the antipodean conurbations.

Some of her friends are into this new meditation group which meets on Sunday mornings at 10am which is quite a reasonable time on a Sunday as it only lasts an hour or so and you have the rest of the day to feel like you’ve really started off well. There is a wonderful young guru but he insists on not being called a guru but we all call him that secretly and he really is terribly good looking with his white smock and lovely full but carefully trimmed beard. They stretch out on the carpet, the thick carpet that smells faintly of industrial strength cleaners, and they bury their noses in it while their guru exhorts them to breathe and breathe and then really breathe and find the very right place in your innermost being where you really feel at one with the universe and did I leave my new Prada handbag in the beauty room or was it in the kitchen, oh the new kitchen is so divine,

These people despise my faith. I was in a Christmas celebration (yes they start in min November, because they are mandatory for all workplaces, clubs, and societies, and thus the restaurants book out from here until the last week of advent, when the woke all decamp for their holiday “crib” which still has a divine kitchen). My church and those like it were described as “new age” and “happy clappy”. We should instead go to the dying congregations around the corner, that let their halls out for yoga courses, and are dignified. Perhaps our church buildings should not be remodeled to serve the kingdom of God but instead be built into pretty apartments. Christmas is about family, and the holidays. When Kea said that we were going to church tomorrow the room paused, as if someone had cursed our Prime Minister.

Malachi 4:1-2

4 “For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze,” says the Lord of hosts, “so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.” 2 “But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and skip about like calves from the stall.

Luke 21:5-19

5 And while some were talking about the temple, that it was adorned with beautiful stones and votive gifts, He said, 6 “As for these things which you are looking at, the days will come in which there will not be left one stone upon another which will not be torn down.”

7 They questioned Him, saying, “Teacher, when therefore will these things happen? And what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?” 8 And He said, “See to it that you are not misled; for many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time is near.’ Do not go after them. 9 When you hear of wars and disturbances, do not be terrified; for these things must take place first, but the end does not follow immediately.”

10 Then He continued by saying to them, “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, 11 and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven.

12 “But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and will persecute you, delivering you to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors for My name’s sake. 13 It will lead to an opportunity for your testimony. 14 So make up your minds not to prepare beforehand to defend yourselves; 15 for I will give you utterance and wisdom which none of your opponents will be able to resist or refute. 16 But you will be betrayed even by parents and brothers and relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death, 17 and you will be hated by all because of My name. 18 Yet not a hair of your head will perish. 19 By your endurance you will gain your lives.

The so called spirituality of this elite is the sin of Lucifer: that they would be made like God. It is the temptation of Eve — that they would know like God. There are many who set themselves up as if they have complete control of their bodies, their lives, and the universe — but all their striving does not add a day to their lives.

They are damned, and they despise us, particularly when we worship Christ, and proclaim his death until he comes.

So leave the elite to their woke club. It is Sunday. Find your congregation, and encourage each other to endure.
