The rubric of fear and isolation is being peddled hard by those who think they can speak to us. Any words of planning, or reassurance, are being silenced. The press know this is a time of crisis, and the weaker among us will let fear rule us.
This is not a time for fear. Yes, there may be the valley of the shadow of death, but God is with us, and he has the correct understanding of us. We are not God, or gods. But through Christ, we have been adopted into the family of God, and we are so deeply loved by him.
A Psalm of David.
23 The Lord is my shepherd,
I shall not want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside [b]quiet waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He guides me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You have anointed my head with oil;
My cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life,
And I will [h]dwell in the house of the Lord [i]forever.
