The progressives claim to be shepherds. To be enlightened. We should ignore the pastor, the theologian, the minister of the kirk, and the priest. We should not look at the gospel. For that is rank superstition, oppressive of the coalition of the woke, and will not lead you to happiness. The progressives claim they are better shepherds, though they lead one to slaughter.
Interest in medically assisted deaths has increased during the COVID-19 outbreak, but some Canadian doctors say the pandemic is making it harder to provide such services. For one thing, extra personal protective equipment is needed, and it's hard to find: https://t.co/3ntOgKI7bC

(Hat tip Will). Yeah, right. They are destroying the weak, while saying they care for them. They are denying access to truth, beauty, honour and salvation. Because all of this is problematic.
I want to preemptively say that wokescolds like me are not coming for your favorite media or going to police your enjoyment. Banning anything is not on the table. I seek to educate and critique. To paraphrase Anita Sarkeesian, we can enjoy media while being critical of its problematic aspects. Orcs are here to stay. Nobody is going to take away your Forgotten Realms and Dragonlance novels.
But understand that colonialism and its tropes are the original sin of the modern age. You can't divorce anything from it. Time marches on and so has fantasy literature. Fantasy literature and its derived role playing games have, like everything, been touched by colonialist narratives. It is important to recognize that. I love fantasy. I even love elves and orcs but to think that race science bullshit isn't part of its DNA is ignorance.
Quoted at Vox Popoli
There will always be false shepherds, and none of them will state that they cannot do the job. They will try to baffle you with wordsbaffle you with words. But look instead on what happens to those they inflict their care on. And note that oppression of the weak brings out the Justice of God.
34 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy, and say to them, even to the shepherds, Thus says the Lord God: Ah, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding yourselves! Should not shepherds feed the sheep? 3 You eat the fat, you clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fat ones, but you do not feed the sheep. 4 The weak you have not strengthened, the sick you have not healed, the injured you have not bound up, the strayed you have not brought back, the lost you have not sought, and with force and harshness you have ruled them. 5 So they were scattered, because there was no shepherd, and they became food for all the wild beasts. 6 My sheep were scattered; they wandered over all the mountains and on every high hill. My sheep were scattered over all the face of the earth, with none to search or seek for them.
7 “Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: 8 As I live, declares the Lord God, surely because my sheep have become a prey, and my sheep have become food for all the wild beasts, since there was no shepherd, and because my shepherds have not searched for my sheep, but the shepherds have fed themselves, and have not fed my sheep, 9 therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: 10 Thus says the Lord God, Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require my sheep at their hand and put a stop to their feeding the sheep. No longer shall the shepherds feed themselves. I will rescue my sheep from their mouths, that they may not be food for them.
11 “For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. 13 And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land. And I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14 I will feed them with good pasture, and on the mountain heights of Israel shall be their grazing land. There they shall lie down in good grazing land, and on rich pasture they shall feed on the mountains of Israel. 15 I myself will be the shepherd of my sheep, and I myself will make them lie down, declares the Lord God. 16 I will seek the lost, and I will bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them in justice.
The current virus is letting the haters of church out. Hat tip from Wil, who comments below.I used to wonder why the fat and strong will be destroyed, but it is because they have aligned with the false shepherds.
Feel free to go to a restaurant for take-out / drive-thru, or to go buy booze, but government forbid you be inside your car in a church parking lot, with the windows up; churches have been closed, doncha know, and so it isn’t safe to be inside your car in a parking lot with the windows up, unlike walking around a grocery store, etc.
There is a little tyrant in us all, and he needs to be taken out the back and beaten into submission with the LART of your choice. For we are not in this time to align with the bad shepherds, but with the good, who go and seek those who are lost.
15 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all drawing near to hear him. 2 And the Pharisees and the scribes grumbled, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”
3 So he told them this parable: 4 “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open country, and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it? 5 And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6 And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbours, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep that was lost.’ 7 Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.
We do not divide people into the problematic and the approved. We do not allow this world to make divisions between the people of God. We are in our nations, and we are submissive to our governments. But Christ is our shepherd, and this world will not divide us. It is our role to allow the spirit to send us to the lost, for we are his witnesses in this time.
1.LART is a (l)user attitude readjustment tool. It should according to the scary devil monastery be: painful, clean, and doesn't harm the computer. That unfortunately leaves a lot of options out. The non nerd version is bulkhead counseling.
On a more serious note, this is mortification of pride, or leaving your ego in the shed, away from polite company. It is knowing you are more frequently wrong than correct, and having the grace to shut your mouth rather than show your errors.
And yes, I am preaching to myself.
