Until ve4y recently, remote farms and stations in NZ had a diesel generator somewhere. The tractor ran o diesel, and they farmer tended to use the same fuel for everything including the station wagon. Diesels are not fussy. if needed, he could use a vegetable oil instead of the stuff from the oil company.
