We are here to preach the truth. We may not be listened to . We certainly won’t be popular. We won’t get the honours or praise from this world. But we are not accountable for that. We need to be accountable to God.
If you agree with the way of this world you will be promoted, and praised, and things will go well. Until the world changes. Then things will get pretty bad, pretty fast. Which is happening right now.
It can be demonstrated, as a matter of statistical certainty, that racist police brutality is actually rare, and certainly not an epidemic requiring a “national conversation.” Yet we see plenty of white fools literally bending the knee in obeisance to what is merely an elaborate version of the “blame whitey” hotep mentality, dressed up in academic jargon.
This is why you have ignorant mobs attacking statues of practically every white person who has ever been honored with a statue. Because history is not taught properly in our schools — and logic is not taught at all — young people are easily duped by propaganda, and willing to engage in criminal acts of destruction, so long as they are furnished with slogans to convince them that “social justice” is thereby advanced.
So not expect results t this time. Popularity is not the metric you should look at. Jeremiah preached for 23 years, was imprisoned, threatened with death… and was ignored by all the good and right and proper.
He did it because he obeyed God, and not man. So should we.
25 The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (that was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), 2 which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem: 3 “For twenty-three years, from the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, to this day, the word of the Lord has come to me, and I have spoken persistently to you, but you have not listened. 4 You have neither listened nor inclined your ears to hear, although the Lord persistently sent to you all his servants the prophets, 5 saying, ‘Turn now, every one of you, from his evil way and evil deeds, and dwell upon the land that the Lord has given to you and your fathers from of old and for ever. 6 Do not go after other gods to serve and worship them, or provoke me to anger with the work of your hands. Then I will do you no harm.’ 7 Yet you have not listened to me, declares the Lord, that you might provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own harm.
You should not be popular. Telling the truth costs. Standing for what is right will cost you: it is not simply a matter of a boycott. Do not compromise the truth.
It would have helped the early Christians if they said — let’s just get a bit of tissue snipped an that will keep the Jews happy. But they did not. Because to do that was to deny Christ.
2 Look: I, Paul, say to you that if you accept circumcision, Christ will be of no advantage to you. 3 I testify again to every man who accepts circumcision that he is obligated to keep the whole law. 4 You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace. 5 For through the Spirit, by faith, we ourselves eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness. 6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith working through love
I would add that the Jews are far more righteous than the current idiots, who know neither logic, nor grammar, nor dialectic. They only know slogans. The reason they can”t meme is because they don’t know truth, and to meme well you have to make it true. The reason they destroy art is because they don’t know beauty or history and they want everything equally ugly.
They are not prepared to praise God for the glorious inequality of this creation: where some things blend in, some stand out, and where beauty is casually seen in any sunset. They want a world that fits their grey ideology.
They want the law, but revised to expunge Moses and Christ.
They will only listen by the work of the Holy Spirit.
Pray for revival, that they will change, and do not be like them.
