I’m reading an interesting book at present and it has a test for heretics: ask them if they believe in the creed. Any part of the creed. If the do, proclaim their faith loudly. Those who do not know that they are of Christ will scuttle to the shadows. This is a time of crisis, and I find that too many people are speaking on behalf of God, but not knowing what they are doing.

Wiser leaders pray, then lead. I’m needing to pray more and more at present.

What those who are against Christ, and are trying to burn down our society, forget is that we are unable to comprehend the full glory of God. We are told that we are made by chance, that there is no meaning but an existential act of will. There is no absolute, no design, no goals, no good, no evil… and no hope. There is but choice and power.

This is an error of despair. We are made instead to be glorious. This is not our doing: it is the work of God, and it was from the beginning.

Psalm 8

For the choir director; on the Gittith. A Psalm of David.

8 O Lord, our Lord,
How majestic is Your name in all the earth,
Who have displayed Your splendor above the heavens!
2 From the mouth of infants and nursing babes You have established strength
Because of Your adversaries,
To make the enemy and the revengeful cease.

3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained;
4 What is man that You take thought of him,
And the son of man that You care for him?
5 Yet You have made him a little lower than God,
And You crown him with glory and majesty!
6 You make him to rule over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
7 All sheep and oxen,
And also the beasts of the field,
8 The birds of the heavens and the fish of the sea,
Whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

9 O Lord, our Lord,
How majestic is Your name in all the earth!

2 Timothy 1:12-14

12 For this reason I also suffer these things, but I am not ashamed; for I know whom I have believed and I am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him until that day. 13 Retain the standard of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14 Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure which has been entrusted to you.

We are chosen, redeemed, and we were placed on this world at this time. Yes, the times are dark, and the enemies of order rage. They demand we accede to their lies. But we have a hope. There is no changing of the promises of God, nor the gospel. Many progressive clerics, including the current Bishop of Rome, would disagree.

But most moderns are in error, to a greater or lesser degree. It is left to us who are older and better trained to be God’s asses, and bray the truth the polite will not say. Perhaps we were left alive for this.

The Holy Spirit (I prefer “Ghost”, because I am fussy like that…) does not need new instruments, or a new strategy, or new actions of any sort, in this XXI Century. Human nature never changes, and our challenges are perennially the same. If it were not so, we would need a new Gospel every hundred year or so.

Humanity is, also, not one. This is new age, one-world drivel. We have an individual soul and this soul will go to his individual judgment. The outcomes of the individual judgments are infinitely different. Therefore, there can be no “oneness” in humanity more than there is oneness between the eternally damned in hell and the eternally blessed in heaven.

“No one is saved alone” is the last piece of blasphemy. Yes, Frankie dear, there is more than one saved, and the Elect certainly work together, and do together God’s work, to collaborate with God and merit His salvation. In this sense, their work certainly is a collaboration for, and in, Christ. But this is not what Francis means. Francis means that “we are the world, we are the children”

Mundabor

I beleive Brother Mundabor still prays for me: that I will convert to Catholicism. He does this with the best will in the world for he is concerned that I am saved. I have multiple theological issues with the teaching of older Roman Church, and far more with the current Vatican II prelates, who wear the faith of their Catholic forefathers like a skinsuit.

But God knows his elect, even his donkeys. I would rather be such in the house of the Lord than a noble in the courts of perdition. Let us all pray. That the spirit preserve our faith. That our Saviour give us security. And that we shall be men: both male and female, we shall stand i the marketplace, and kneel only to Christ.
