It is not in any way us that gives courage to speak truth, but Christ. There is good governance, when the church is run by Godly men and serving the people is seen as a high honour obtained at great cost. Where people question if they have a call to serve God.

Then there is an aopstate church, which has either become the civil service or Twitter at prayer. The test at the moment is if you reach the gospel or Black Lives Matter. If you damn those who say all lives matter. If you re trying to be woke, or righteous. You cannot be both.

Collect One

O Lord,
who never failest to help and govern them
whom thou dost bring up in thy steadfast fear and love;
Keep us, we beseech thee,
under the protection of thy good providence,
and make us to have a perpetual fear and love of thy holy Name;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

In times of crisis, speaking the truth always comes wiht a cost. There are people who will take offense — almost regardless of who you are and what you say. There are those who will break quarantine for the sake of singalling virtue, or destroy a business for the same reason. Wendys did donate to all the correct organizations, and have the appropriate sensitivity seminars. But an Atlanta Wendy’s is burned down, the Police have the blue flu, and men of goodwill are praying for peace and getting their families the hell out of there.

Jeremiah 20:7-13

7 O Lord, you have deceived me,
and I was deceived;
you are stronger than I,
and you have prevailed.
I have become a laughing-stock all the day;
everyone mocks me.
8 For whenever I speak, I cry out,
I shout, “Violence and destruction!”
For the word of the Lord has become for me
a reproach and derision all day long.
9 If I say, “I will not mention him,
or speak any more in his name”,
there is in my heart as it were a burning fire
shut up in my bones,
and I am weary with holding it in,
and I cannot.
10 For I hear many whispering.
Terror is on every side!
“Denounce him! Let us denounce him!”
say all my close friends,
watching for my fall.
“Perhaps he will be deceived;
then we can overcome him
and take our revenge on him.”
11 But the Lord is with me as a dread warrior;
therefore my persecutors will stumble;
they will not overcome me.
They will be greatly shamed,
for they will not succeed.
Their eternal dishonour
will never be forgotten.
12 O Lord of hosts, who tests the righteous,
who sees the heart and the mind,
let me see your vengeance upon them,
for to you have I committed my cause.
13 Sing to the Lord;
praise the Lord!
For he has delivered the life of the needy
from the hand of evildoers.

Romans 6:1-11

6 What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 By no means! How can we who died to sin still live in it? 3 Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death? 4 We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. 6 We know that our old self[a] was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin. 7 For one who has died has been set free[b] from sin. 8 Now if we have died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him. 9 We know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him. 10 For the death he died he died to sin, once for all, but the life he lives he lives to God. 11 So you also must consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

There are those who are justifying the destruction of statues, shops, homes, the death of policemen and the reactionary, for they are in a revolution and they attribute various sins to those who oppose them: racism, intolerence, hatred.

But we were not called by Christ to rob temples or pull things down. We were called to be of Christ. To live for him.

The woke are cannon fodder for factions of the elite. We are not of them. We shall not be like them.
