Well, the week goes on: no new scandals today, but I have this comment for Adam: the economy in Australia is more unstable than the one in New Zealand, and ours is nicely recessed, and soon going into a depression. We will soon find out who are the men of our nation, and who is faithful, for they will stay around, while the paper citizens leave.
Yesterday AMI, a retail insurer, had its retail shops closed by its owner, not based in NZ. Globalist corporations will gouge profits and cut costs. The Labour and Green left get funding from such, so we are getting limericks like this about our PM.
there was a young girl from Waikato
whose intelligence reached a low plateau
the economy went flop
incomes did drop
and she said the poor can eat gateaux
This is when men, in better times, dig ditches to ensure that their children are fed, then their wife, then them. Praying thankfully for the food on their table. Not expecting an entitlement. Nothing has changed: we work at present doing the jobs no one else wants because we have wives and children we don’t want to starve alone.
We will find out who is of Christ, and who cleaves to the gospel, for they also will stay in Christ, while the paper citizens and the globalists insist that we worship their satanic rainbow. In good times men find it easy to be faithful, for there are men leading. The degeneration of the last few generations — from 1968 or so — has made it instead hard for all to keep the precepts and laws and teaching of God.
2 When David’s time to die drew near, he commanded Solomon his son, saying, 2 “I am about to go the way of all the earth. Be strong, and show yourself a man, 3 and keep the charge of the Lord your God, walking in his ways and keeping his statutes, his commandments, his rules, and his testimonies, as it is written in the Law of Moses, that you may prosper in all that you do and wherever you turn, 4 that the Lord may establish his word that he spoke concerning me, saying, ‘If your sons pay close attention to their way, to walk before me in faithfulness with all their heart and with all their soul, you shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’
38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.” 39 But he answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgement with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. 42 The queen of the South will rise up at the judgement with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.
Mistrust those who only preach power and prosperity. Adam commented that in Australia it has been 30 years since a recession: that was not the case for Kiwis. Part of life is hardship, loss, bitterness, grief and anger. It is going on and doing your duty when you are exhausted and ill.
We are honoured for doing this. The only sign for this generation is that lives are still healed by the work of Christ. I pray for revival, but first we need to know this: broken, selfish and compromised rulers will not save you.
But Christ will. Be an man, and bend the knee to Christ, and Christ alone.
Update: got date wrong… my fault. Corrected.
