My brother in law welcomed me to the old farts club yesterday. He’s worried about the cashflow, as with the second lock down in Auckland they have either been unable to work or they have been working incredibly hard. Income has come in spurts. His contempt for the doofus PM is about as deep as his Scottish dislike of the English.
This is a time of difficulty and trial, and many will blame the previous generation. My generation is still young enough to cause chaos– think Punk not hippy — but we tolerated too much progressive evil.
But each generation has to give account not for the sins of their father, but the sins that they themselves have done.
The fascists work by bureaucratic fiat, left fascists included.
The fascists tend to see us as a collective. To God, we are not. We are individuals, and we stand and fall on our own doing. If we repent, our sins will be forgotten: if we become apostate our good will be discounted.
19 “Yet you say, ‘Why should the son not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity?’ When the son has practiced justice and righteousness and has observed all My statutes and done them, he shall surely live. 20 The person who sins will die. The son will not bear the punishment for the father’s iniquity, nor will the father bear the punishment for the son’s iniquity; the righteousness of the righteous will be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked will be upon himself.
21 “But if the wicked man turns from all his sins which he has committed and observes all My statutes and practices justice and righteousness, he shall surely live; he shall not die. 22 All his transgressions which he has committed will not be remembered against him; because of his righteousness which he has practiced, he will live. 23 Do I have any pleasure in the death of the wicked,” declares the Lord God, “[a]rather than that he should turn from his ways and live?
24 “But when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness, commits iniquity and does according to all the abominations that a wicked man does, will he live? All his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered for his treachery which he has committed and his sin which he has committed; for them he will die.
Jack points out that the world wants us trapped from generation to generation.
Going further, if one chooses to embrace any cognitive paradigm that is at odds with God’s covenant order, then this is sin by definition. Clinging to such a paradigm, even without being aware that it is sin, is being/living under a curse by definition (e.g. a generational curse). Some curses can be elusive to the conscious mind’s understanding, which makes them difficult to sift out and purge.
One primary way that this perdition happens is when one becomes obsessed with the things of a fleshly nature (e.g. money, power, social status, desires, sensual passions, fears, et al.), and these cognitive preoccupations preclude (or exclude) any awareness of one’s agency and any perception of spiritual truths.
I would add that the enemy rejoices if we can get into an international conflict and disavow our personal responsibility for our actions.
No worship songs today. Subversion of the songs of my generation. There have always been those who would try to regulate their creator. The interestign thing, looking back at them, is how all the political lines and allusions are dated, irrelevant. Because the were made in that moment, and it is now gone.
And we have no duty to inform the woke. We turn their rhetoric against them.
27 They *came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests and the scribes and the elders *came to Him, 28 and began saying to Him, “By what authority are You doing these things, or who gave You this authority to do these things?” 29 And Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question, and you answer Me, and then I will tell you by what authority I do these things. 30 Was the baptism of John from heaven, or from men? Answer Me.” 31 They began reasoning among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’ 32 But shall we say, ‘From men’?”—they were afraid of the people, for everyone considered John to have been a real prophet. 33 Answering Jesus, they *said, “We do not know.” And Jesus *said to them, “Nor will I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
You really do not want to be pandering to the spirit of this age. It has lost common sense. If you run with criminals, you will find yourself dealing with the cops. The current protests are kabuki theature: they want evil to triumph. They have, like Dan Andrews and his damned city, chosen to be warnings. Do not go down that path.
God will work his will anyway.
If you happen to choose evil over good, God will make a compensation to ensure His plan is still fulfilled. Your life is a gift from Him, and while it would please Him for you to serve His will, human history will proceed as planned regardless. We need Him fully and totally and He needs us not at all, and it’s only through His infinite love that He decided to create man in the first place. Don’t feel that you’re doing God a favor through your good deeds.
DO not fall into the trap of collective guilt or shame. Your ancestors were bastards: if they were not they would not have made it to raise children. History belongs to the children born, not the children stilled in the womb or never conceived. THis is a time when the elite promote fear and powerlessness and apostasy.
Do not be like them.
