Last night we did not switch on the big screen. We went for a walk, and we talked. Kea said… do not switch on than bloody computer. You nave done enough work. You have finished the task list for this day. So we went for a walk, had dinned, and then sat with the dogs and talked.

What we are finding is that the political noise is removing our peace. This morning, while finding music, there were advertisements for the Labour Party through the songs. (No it takes a few songs to find the one for each day). The newspapers are wrapped with Labour party advertisements. The opposition has crews out waving signs in what has been a safe Labour area for 100 years.

But both sides are running on fear. They want to run a nanny state, and they want us to be children. We would rather be men. We would stand, male and female,

While the nation shakes.

Amos 9:5-15

5 The Lord God of hosts,
The One who touches the land so that it melts,
And all those who dwell in it mourn,
And all of it rises up like the Nile
And subsides like the Nile of Egypt;
6 The One who builds His upper chambers in the heavens
And has founded His vaulted dome over the earth,
He who calls for the waters of the sea
And pours them out on the face of the earth,
The Lord is His name.

7 “Are you not as the sons of Ethiopia to Me,
O sons of Israel?” declares the Lord.
“Have I not brought up Israel from the land of Egypt,
And the Philistines from Caphtor and the Arameans from Kir?
8 “Behold, the eyes of the Lord God are on the sinful kingdom,
And I will destroy it from the face of the earth;
Nevertheless, I will not totally destroy the house of Jacob,”
Declares the Lord.
9 “For behold, I am commanding,
And I will shake the house of Israel among all nations
As grain is shaken in a sieve,
But not a kernel will fall to the ground.
10 “All the sinners of My people will die by the sword,
Those who say, ‘The calamity will not overtake or confront us.’
The Restoration of Israel

11 “In that day I will raise up the fallen booth of David,
And wall up its breaches;
I will also raise up its ruins
And rebuild it as in the days of old;
12 That they may possess the remnant of Edom
And all the nations who are called by My name,”
Declares the Lord who does this.

13 “Behold, days are coming,” declares the Lord,
“When the plowman will overtake the reaper
And the treader of grapes him who sows seed;
When the mountains will drip sweet wine
And all the hills will be dissolved.
14 “Also I will restore the captivity of My people Israel,
And they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them;
They will also plant vineyards and drink their wine,
And make gardens and eat their fruit.
15 “I will also plant them on their land,
And they will not again be rooted out from their land
Which I have given them,”
Says the Lord your God.

Philippians 3:13-4:1

13 Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you; 16 however, let us keep living by that same standard to which we have attained.

17 Brethren, join in following my example, and observe those who walk according to the pattern you have in us. 18 For many walk, of whom I often told you, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ, 19 whose end is destruction, whose god is their appetite, and whose glory is in their shame, who set their minds on earthly things. 20 For our citizenship is in heaven, from which also we eagerly wait for a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ; 21 who will transform the body of our humble state into conformity with the body of His glory, by the exertion of the power that He has even to subject all things to Himself.

4 Therefore, my beloved brethren whom I long to see, my joy and crown, in this way stand firm in the Lord, my beloved.

The question that we need to face, today and in each day, is if we will have pride or shame in our sins. If we have shame, we will repent. Daily at times: we are all left with habits that are bad for us and we need to talk about these things so we do not get trapped in that false comfort that would damn us. It may be subtle, but we are all fallen.

If you don;t know your besetting sins, your spouse does. Last night we named a mutual one: anger. The reason our peace is robbed is because we are furious with the lies of the elite.

Who instead of repenting, double down and have pride in their sins and evil. To confront them is to be accused of hate speech. They cannot handle true words.

And in this coming shaking they will fall.

Through the grace of God, we can reform, and penitent, remain standing. For without truth you will fall as the spirit of the age fails. The spirit of this age is always lies.

But God is not only love, he is truth.
