I do not want to watch the news right now. It has become an vehicle for advocacy of the leftist project, which is completely and unabashedly about maintaining power.
This is a Hindu perversion: every member of the elite is their own guru, their own guru, their own avatar of the divine, and as they are of the named caste of activists, they must be honoured and worshiped. The adoration of the nation, of the team of fie million, is, in their mind, natural and inevitable
But it sticks in my craw. I fear their triumphalism, and their compulsory worship of the modern cult of personality. This is seen on the nightly news as surely as it is on Twitter and Facebook.
Best to avoid all of the above.
96 Oh sing to the Lord a new song;
sing to the Lord, all the earth!
2 Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
tell of his salvation from day to day.
3 Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvellous works among all the peoples!
4 For great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised;
he is to be feared above all gods.
5 For all the gods of the peoples are worthless idols,
but the Lord made the heavens.
6 Splendour and majesty are before him;
strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
7 Ascribe to the Lord, O families of the peoples,
ascribe to the Lord glory and strength!
8 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
bring an offering, and come into his courts!
9 Worship the Lord in the splendour of holiness;[a]
tremble before him, all the earth!
3 John 9-12
9 I have written something to the church, but Diotrephes, who likes to put himself first, does not acknowledge our authority. 10 So if I come, I will bring up what he is doing, talking wicked nonsense against us. And not content with that, he refuses to welcome the brothers, and also stops those who want to and puts them out of the church.
11 Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does good is from God; whoever does evil has not seen God. 12 Demetrius has received a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself. We also add our testimony, and you know that our testimony is true.
There are those who want to make themselves something, against all the evidence There are those who are being tested. Hard. Really hard. Didact is writing on this. The elite want us to be like them. To not do good, but evil. For then they will have leverage.
We need to look after each other. Meldtowns included. Anger included, Despair included. They state system will not have the room with our engineered depression.
Brother Freeriker (the topic was that the Christian Black Colleges are funding moar therapy due to COVID lockdowns) gives us a clue.
Wouldn’t one think that a “Christian” college would be holding PRAYER SERVICES for its suffering students and organizing groups of students to help one another, as in BEAR ONE ANOTHER’S BURDENS during these times of great trial and tribulation? Why is a “Christian” college directing its students away from the Bible and fellowship and to a secular institution?
Suffice it to say that none of this does anything to dispel or disprove my entrenched belief that most “Christian” colleges are nothing of the sort.
Which leads us to action. How does one do good?
Firslty, look to Christ and not the doctrines of man. There is much to learn from theology, but if you consider that the scriptures point to Christ, all our theology should also point to him. He is truth, he is the word incarnate.
Secondly, we need to discipline ourselves. This is a struggle. It is easier to look on the tubes and acceot tehe mass media. It is harder to get our and train. It harder to write theology. It is hareder still to do good in each day, and distinguish the false good from the true.
Nut it is not a time for despair.
We will fear: we are not blind to the power of he elite, converged with the Satanic spirit of this age. Courage is to act despite our fears. We will not be ruled by our fears.
For it only needed 12 to bring the gospel to the entire world.
1. I was tempted to quote Bruce again, but it would have been the entire post. Go read it. .
2. Or perhaps, evil that claims to be good from good. Sometimes you need to see the consequences.
