I feel at times as if the world is going crazy. We are being governed by slogans “Hard and fast” (Delay the closure of the borders), “Be kind” (Do what I tell you or else) and “we are aming for elimination” when the mean that the COVID is not in NZ. The policy is made up to fit the lie, and as it is based on lies, it not merely fails, it damages. From the Cat this morning.
Four babies have died in the past month here in Adelaide because they were denied access to surgery in Melbourne due to the insane Victorian Covid restrictions. It is a concern that there are not proper facilities available in SA and the reasons are budgetary, as usual, so 4 young lives have been sacrificed through government stupidity and callousness.
Travellers from New Zealand can get into Melbourne but critically ill babies cannot.
The RFDS could have transported these children interstate at any time. Those who prevented these children from having lifesaving surgery in Melbourne are complicit in their deaths and the grief caused to their parents and families, and should carry that shame with them for the rest of their lives. They deserve our enduring contempt
We went to home group last week and discussed how you need to deal with the ongoing need to agree with the policies of these people, which are, bluntly evil. Most of us are agreeabale and just want to get on. When I said that giving up on promotion is liberating because you start ghosting all the politically correct parts of meetings they looked at me with horror.
But these bastards kill. We are not commanded to be like them, They lie about everything.
A lie is a sin and a Big Lie is a fundamental sin by which a person (a civilization) may be overthrown and self-damned. Satan was called the father of Lies for this reason. The Big Lie is a temptation.
If we focus only on the practical (e.g. sociopolitical or psychological) effects of the Big Lies, we will neglect or forget the spiritual dimension – which is primary.
And if we are (in practice) unable to resist the material roll-out of the Lies, then we will be tempted to give-up on resistance altogether – to go-along-with the lie spiritually as well as practically – and that may well lead onto spiritual acquiescence to the lie.
That vegan chicken is carbohydrates and soy, made because it is cheaper than growing a bird. It is not food. I tis a lie. We need to shun lies.
1 Blessed is the man[a]
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
2 but his delight is in the law[b] of the Lord,
and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree
planted by streams of water
that yields its fruit in its season,
and its leaf does not wither.
In all that he does, he prospers.
4 The wicked are not so,
but are like chaff that the wind drives away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgement,
nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous;
6 for the Lord knows the way of the righteous,
but the way of the wicked will perish.
5 This is why I left you in Crete, so that you might put what remained into order, and appoint elders in every town as I directed you— 6 if anyone is above reproach, the husband of one wife, and his children are believers and not open to the charge of debauchery or insubordination. 7 For an overseer, as God’s steward, must be above reproach. He must not be arrogant or quick-tempered or a drunkard or violent or greedy for gain, 8 but hospitable, a lover of good, self-controlled, upright, holy, and disciplined. 9 He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.
10 For there are many who are insubordinate, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision party. 11 They must be silenced, since they are upsetting whole families by teaching for shameful gain what they ought not to teach. 12 One of the Cretans, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”[e] 13 This testimony is true. Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, 14 not devoting themselves to Jewish myths and the commands of people who turn away from the truth. 15 To the pure, all things are pure, but to the defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their minds and their consciences are defiled. 16 They profess to know God, but they deny him by their works. They are detestable, disobedient, unfit for any good work.
Gentlemen, look at the requirements to be an elder. I have often done this, looking a tthe things iI cannot be, and how I disqualify. It is better to see them as goals. That you have wed. That you have stayed wed. That your children are raised well and that they are of he faith. That you as een as a man of integrity and respected for your work.
That you teaching is plain, unvarnished and the gospel, where your inventions detract and do not add. Thaty you are not afraid to correct.
For our elite are empty talkers, for they base their lives on slogans. Do not be like them.
