When I do the Bible readings in the morning, I generally make tea (for Kea) first andthen offendthe coffee snobs by pouring myself some cold brew. Then the bible. Then the worship music. Then I look aronnd for things that apply to the word for that day.
One of my usual places to find things is a couple of Link pages, particularly Adam’s place: down this morning. I check the local paper, and the progressive rainbow victory parade is still going on. People who thinkg that their skin colour or sexual proclivities make them worthy. They do not.
You have probably noticed the lack of writing on my part. I have not been in the mood. I mean, how many times can I repeat the same things? People don’t want to know and they will shoot the messenger. I have a dedicated following but it’s preaching to the choir. What’s the point? It’s all going to hell in a hand basket this year, and nothing that I say or write will make any difference. So I’ve been right about a bunch of things over the last five years. And? So what. Big deal, dude. Not worth a pitcher of warm spit when it all comes down to it.
There is a temptation to give up. Do not give up. God allows us to fear, and to wish vengeance, But our shelter in repression is the LORD, and vindication will come from the LORD.
43 Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause
against an ungodly people,
from the deceitful and unjust man
2 For you are the God in whom I take refuge;
why have you rejected me?
Why do I go about mourning
because of the oppression of the enemy?
3 Send out your light and your truth;
let them lead me;
let them bring me to your holy hill
and to your dwelling!
4 Then I will go to the altar of God,
to God my exceeding joy,
and I will praise you with the lyre,
O God, my God.
5 Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you in turmoil within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my salvation and my God.
17 But if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law and boast in God 18 and know his will and approve what is excellent, because you are instructed from the law; 19 and if you are sure that you yourself are a guide to the blind, a light to those who are in darkness, 20 an instructor of the foolish, a teacher of children, having in the law the embodiment of knowledge and truth— 21 you then who teach others, do you not teach yourself? While you preach against stealing, do you steal? 22 You who say that one must not commit adultery, do you commit adultery? You who abhor idols, do you rob temples? 23 You who boast in the law dishonour God by breaking the law. 24 For, as it is written, “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you.”
25 For circumcision indeed is of value if you obey the law, but if you break the law, your circumcision becomes uncircumcision. 26 So, if a man who is uncircumcised keeps the precepts of the law, will not his uncircumcision be regarded as circumcision? 27 Then he who is physically uncircumcised but keeps the law will condemn you who have the written code and circumcision but break the law. 28 For no one is a Jew who is merely one outwardly, nor is circumcision outward and physical. 29 But a Jew is one inwardly, and circumcision is a matter of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter. His praise is not from man but from God.
There is a counsel out there that we should not hope. We should rest in a stoical cynicism. Read our Aurelius, and forget that he acted. In a socitey that will rob temples and celebrate sin, where the scandals of the progressives are hidden but the sins of the people are projected on our elders, long dead, that is easy. We forget that there is envy here, because our elders lived in a functional society.
There is a certain wish to take to the streets with pitchfork and fire. To raid the modern Bastille. To cast thse down. But we need to have a foundation. We need to be righteous ourselves. We need to be waway from the celebration of evil in the streets, and we need to not be doing it ourselves.
The political is collective, but the personal is spiritual.
And demographics will take care of the rest. If we do wife up our Ladies, live where we can raise and educate our kids within the home, and see children as a blessing, ours will be the nation and the tribe. The progressives have a tendency to have no children, or few (who they then alienate).
But at this time, be somewhat quiet in all this. The proud exalt themselves. God protects the humble. And there will be those who succumb to wrath, and the elite will then curse God because of them.
God is our shelter in this storm. Don’t look to the world and our systems. They hate our ownly security. Instead, look to the cross.
Adam’s site is still down. Not sure if it is DDOS — but checking from another part of the interweb, same results.
