For those who are not Kiwis, the press, the promotino and daily politican statements from our dear leader allowed her to win a second term. It is deemed by the majority of New Zealders that she saved us from COVID. In casa weka, we despair.

My thought on going to bed was that we, as a nation, have deeply offended the Almighty, and instead of repenting we have doubled down. Three more years of wokeness will make for some good blogging, but thatt will not be good for those I love and the nation of my birth.

Jacinda Ardern will govern New Zealand for a second term after the Labour party secured a historic landslide victory in the general election, attracting so many votes it could become the first party in decades to be able to govern alone.

Ardern’s deft handling of the Covid-19 outbreak and resolute belief in science and experts was credited with earning the trust of New Zealanders, who cast early votes in record numbers, giving her party more votes than at any other election in the past five decades.

With nearly 100% of the vote counted, Labour had secured 49%, with the opposition National party on 27%. Labour was expected to win 64 of the 120 seats in parliament, and National, 35. It is the best result for the Labour party in 50 years, being hailed as “extraordinary” by the former Labour prime minister Helen Clark, and “mind-blowing” by supporters.

The leader of the opposition, Judith Collins, congratulated Ardern on the “outstanding result” on Saturday night, but refused to answer questions from reporters on whether she would stay on as leader.

The other thing that Kea and I discussed was how this will affect us. We exect tax increases: we fear that there will be a wealth tax (regardless of the fact Ardern denied it: she will probably ally with the Greens and they will demand it). There is a cynical streak in Kiwis, but we used to trust each other.Under the rule of big mummy (thatnk you Adam for that burn) we will not. Because she, like Captain Dan, loves her snitches and wants hate speech laws.

It is far into Saturday evening in New Zealand as I write these words and the result already looks like Ardern has won and won convincingly. Which means that she will have a mandate to roll out her own brand of feminised matriarchal communism at break-neck speed. Historically, New Zealand has already had its socialist utopia that ran for almost three decades into the mid-eigthies, when the shoe finally dropped that they had run out of other people’s money. But apparently memories fade quickly and they’re off on the poverty carousel once again to see how things will shape up now that the chicks are in charge.

Drink up, New Zealand. While you’re still allowed to. Because big mommy is watching you.

Kiwis generally don’t moan. We go silent. Silence is not consent, it is that if we don’t have anything nice to say, we don’t say anything at all.

Not now. It is propagandized. But this I know: God will get glory from this.

O God,
whose beauty is beyond our imagining
and whose power we cannot comprehend:
show us your glory,
as far as we can grasp it,
and shield us from knowing more than we can bear,
until we may look upon you without fear,
through Jesus Christ.

Isaiah 45:1-7

45 Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus,
whose right hand I have grasped,
to subdue nations before him
and to loose the belts of kings,
to open doors before him
that gates may not be closed:
2 “I will go before you
and level the exalted places,
I will break in pieces the doors of bronze
and cut through the bars of iron,
3 I will give you the treasures of darkness
and the hoards in secret places,
that you may know that it is I, the Lord,
the God of Israel, who call you by your name.
4 For the sake of my servant Jacob,
and Israel my chosen,
I call you by your name,
I name you, though you do not know me.
5 I am the Lord, and there is no other,
besides me there is no God;
I equip you, though you do not know me,
6 that people may know, from the rising of the sun
and from the west, that there is none besides me;
I am the Lord, and there is no other.
7 I form light and create darkness,
I make well-being and create calamity,
I am the Lord, who does all these things.

It is worth nothing that God has used pagans to punish the feckless faithful repeatedly. I expect the same. The good news is that the stupid, the worldly and the liberal will fall away, and those of Christ will be clearly visible while the rest of the world gets more mistakable as they chase woke points.

Matthew 22:15-22

15 Then the Pharisees went and plotted how to entangle him in his words. 16 And they sent their disciples to him, along with the Herodians, saying, “Teacher, we know that you are true and teach the way of God truthfully, and you do not care about anyone’s opinion, for you are not swayed by appearances. 17 Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” 18 But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? 19 Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. 20 And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” 21 They said, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” 22 When they heard it, they marvelled. And they left him and went away.

We all have to deal with the rulers we are given. We don’t have to like them. We definitely should not trust them. My only conclusion today is that we have truly offended God: we have voted to increase access to abortion and the polls say that euthanasia will also win its referendum which comes out the day beofre Halloween.

We deserve a season in the desert. May God have mercy on us.

Sorry, Chris.

I suspect we will have a similar lament here soon.

Don’t feel like the Lone Ranger. The Canadians are ahead of you on this point. As for Covid-19, the administrations that did the least seem to be coming off best. All said, it shows how ill prepared we are to deal with a viral epidemic. Thank God this one was not potent. I hope tht New Zealand’s patience is rewarded.

Perhaps, moving forward, describing someone as “Lenin’s whore” isn’t a tactic that will work to get people on your side.

It is very bad . I have come t the conclusion that most New Zealanders, even most people are imbeciles . My attacks against Ardern in which I describe her as Lenin’s whore started to receive attention and threats. I don’t care about the threats so much as the fact that engaging with a willfully ignorant and stupid people is pointless. I despise New zealand now, I see the country as a toxic swamp of Communisim. I therefore advise falilies to look ten years ahead looking towards safe countries to live in. We would be safer , if cold in Siberia. Russia and Eastern Europe of course will have nothing of communism.

For better or worse, this is my nation. I have five generations buried here. The family dates back to the New Plymouth settlement and the Taranaki wars.

It is going to be very bad, but we will get through this. This place will pivot to talking more about this

Yeah, at this point you’re pretty much screwed. Mind you, it looks like most of the world is in the same boat so at least you have company.
