A note to our elite.

I must confess that some of the Papists warm the the cockles of my bleak Calvinist Heart. They understand church discipline, and those who preach error should be held back from communion. Full fellowship includes submission to the word of God. I won’t join the queue at a Catholic service, and yes, I’ve attended some when travelling because it was the closest Western rite service I could find, because I’m reformed and therefore in doctrinal disagreement with them.

Biden thinks that as a cradle catholic he can do what he things. As if our faith is a cafeteria to make one feel good, not a task so hard we need the spirit of God to fulfil it.

I would add that any Protestant who is of Christ — there are many false protestant leaders who are of the rancid rainbow — would agree completely with Archbishop Chaput. Abortion and Euthanasia as immoral and evil. Legality has nothing to do with it: in many nations including mine sex work is legal, but the sex industry is evil.

Quoting the document, Abp. Chaput reiterated why anyone self-identified Catholic who publicly supports abortion and euthanasia cannot receive the Eucharist:

5. Regarding the grave sin of abortion or euthanasia, when a person’s formal cooperation becomes manifest (understood, in the case of a Catholic politician, as his consistently campaigning and voting for permissive abortion and euthanasia laws), his pastor should meet with him, instructing him about the Church’s teaching, informing him that he is not to present himself for Holy Communion until he brings to an end the objective situation of sin, and warning him that he will otherwise be denied the Eucharist.

6. When “these precautionary measures have not had their effect or in which they were not possible,” and the person in question, with obstinate persistence, still presents himself to receive the Holy Eucharist, “the minister of Holy Communion must refuse to distribute it” (cf. Pontifical Council for Legislative Texts Declaration “Holy Communion and Divorced, Civilly Remarried Catholics” [2002], nos. 3-4). This decision, properly speaking, is not a sanction or a penalty. Nor is the minister of Holy Communion passing judgment on the person’s subjective guilt, but rather is reacting to the person’s public unworthiness to receive Holy Communion due to an objective situation of sin.

“The implications for the present moment are clear,” Abp Chaput continued. “Public figures who identify as ‘Catholic’ give scandal to the faithful when receiving Communion by creating the impression that the moral laws of the Church are optional. And bishops give similar scandal by not speaking up publicly about the issue and danger of sacrilege.”

Note to the elite, if you let the progressives (who are heretics: there is nothing that has not been revealed, see Revelation 22:18,19) any room. They will want more. Firstly, they will want a power base, and then they will use it to take down the amenable leaders who let them set up a abcess of heresy. Better to let the poison out.

Is Pope Francis running out of reliable friends? The progressive forces that lifted him up and celebrated him began at some point to turn away in irritation because he could not or did not want to satisfy their hunger for radical changes, which he himself repeatedly encouraged. Since this development is fluid, it is difficult to give an exact date. However, stages can be identified based on the events and the Church in Germany that play a central role in this.

This, specifically the progressive majority of the German Bishops’ Conference began in 2018 not to wait any longer for Francis, but to take the initiative. Admitting Protestant spouses to Communion was their first step. When the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith wanted to intervene, it was called back by Pope Francis. The German rebels prevailed.

But it seems like with power: those who have some always want more of it. So the progressive appetite for breaking up the existing and implementing innovations also grows. In this sense, the “synodal journey” was followed by the German Bishops’ Conference and the progressive stronghold called Central Committee of German Catholics. And suddenly there was another ghost, the ghost of a new German schism. Francis had personally participated in the 500th anniversary celebrations of Luther’s “Reformation”.

Please note, I am not attacking the Catholic. Vox Day reported on the same stuff happening in the Baptists, and I have seen the same errors up close and personal among the reformed. There is a reason I hang with the neopentebapticostals. They are deeply unfashionable. Their praise and worship is akin to garlic to the vampiric woke.

It did demonstrate this: every single denonmination loves abbreviations and committees. But every one of them is a locus for infection.

To intentionally deceive the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals in an effort to win a lawsuit is the height of corruption and an ungodly, end-justifies-the-means strategy. Think about it. NAMB has not only used the resources of the SBC in order to deceive a Federal Court, resources given by church members to advance the Great Commission, they also deceived a Federal Court into using its power to crush the man who alleges NAMB’s wrongdoing. It is especially frightening when you realize the deception almost worked. NAMB came within one vote of prevailing in the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals (they lost on a 9-8 vote). It brings to mind the image of the lone man in Tiananmen Square who defied the Chinese Communist government when he stood alone in the path of a massive tank over 30 years ago. That image may seem extreme, but it was actually one of my first thoughts. NAMB enlisted three state attorney generals, the ERLC, and First Liberty, among others, in a failed effort to deceive the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of Appeals. In so doing, they demonstrated a willingness to jeopardize the entirety of the SBC to protect one SBC leader and entity. It’s a classic example of an “end-justifies-the-means” ethic.

This cannot be forgotten and swept aside. There must be accountability for these leaders. A slap on the hand would be inappropriate and disrespectful to McRaney and all Southern Baptists. A slap on the hand would confirm what many suspect, that the Trustees of SBC entities, and the Executive Committee of the SBC, are incapable of holding leaders accountable for even massive failures. You couldn’t get away with practicing such deception in traffic court, let alone trying to deceive the second highest court in the United States, which is what NAMB and the ERLC have done.

So, what must be done? First, the leaders and agencies that were involved in this deception must set the record straight with all courts to whom they lied, including the U.S. 5th Circuit Court of the Appeals, in order to mitigate the immense damage that will be suffered by SBC churches and other SBC organizations. Through their deception, these two SBC entities and leaders have put the entire SBC in danger because future litigants can appeal to their erroneous arguments and make the claim that the SBC has a hierarchy, and therefore the whole denomination can be held liable for the misdeeds perpetrated by one church or one church member. This possibility is already being publically discussed.

The elite who converge will be destroyed. For they require pleasure, and we don’t always get this. Again, we can learn from our Papist brothers. Here is one talking about recovering from the COVID pneunomia [1].

This disease has been awesome for me spiritually. If I had died, I might have spent thousands of years in Purgatorio, but I’d have gotten to Heaven eventually, barring any last minute lapses that were part of my own wickedness anyway. Maybe I’d have become more powerful than leftist progressives could ever imagine? I don’t deserve salvation, but God’s will, please don’t let me die forever as I deserve, O’ Lord.

Thank you God, for this trial and the opportunity to suffer and pray manfully through this pain!

Note: I’m also very grateful to God’s creatures (like my cats) who gave me phone calls, consolations, prayers, had Masses said for me and offered up their own sufferings for my benefit. It’s truly humbling.

Look to the laity. Look to the damaged. Look to those who are struggling to put their lives together. But don’t look to those leaders who the world is praising. That is a reliable tell that heresy is there.

Shun them. For the sake of your soul, your integrity and your witness.

What, you have to try to do the things your faith has clearly said? You can’t just do *anything*?
