There are those who pray for revival, and that includes me. This is pragmatism. It is better to pray for mercy and repent than wait for justice. For when justice comes, it is not rolling like a river. It is a flood. It overwhelms. Those who think they are of the elite will be swept away. And those who are of God will be rescued.

Habakkuk 3:2-13
2 Lord, I have heard the report about You, and I was afraid.
Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years,
In the midst of the years make it known.
In anger remember mercy.

3 God comes from Teman,
And the Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah
His splendor covers the heavens,
And the earth is full of His praise.
4 His radiance is like the sunlight;
He has rays flashing from His hand,
And the hiding of His might is there.
5 Before Him goes plague,
And plague comes forth after Him.
6 He stood and caused the earth to shudder;
He looked and caused the nations to jump.
Yes, the everlasting mountains were shattered,
The ancient hills collapsed.
His paths are everlasting.
7 I saw the tents of Cushan under distress,
The tent curtains of the land of Midian were trembling.

8 Did the Lord rage against the rivers,
Or was Your anger against the rivers,
Or was Your rage against the sea,
That You rode on Your horses,
On Your chariots of salvation?
9 You removed Your bow from its holder,
The arrows of Your word were sworn. Selah
You divided the earth with rivers.
10 The mountains saw You and quaked;
The downpour of waters swept by.
The deep raised its voice,
It lifted high its hands.
11 Sun and moon stood in their lofty places;
They went away at the light of Your arrows,
At the radiance of Your flashing spear.
12 In indignation You marched through the earth;
In anger You trampled the nations.
13 You went forth for the salvation of Your people,
For the salvation of Your anointed.
You smashed the head of the house of evil
To uncover him from foot to neck. Selah

John 12:1-11

12 Therefore, six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. 2 So they made Him a dinner there, and Martha was serving; and Lazarus was one of those reclining at the table with Him. 3 Mary then took a pound of very expensive perfume of pure nard, and anointed the feet of Jesus and wiped His feet with her hair; and the house was filled with the fragrance of the perfume. 4 But Judas Iscariot, one of His disciples, the one who intended to betray Him, *said, 5 “Why was this perfume not sold for three hundred denarii and the proceeds given to poor people?” 6 Now he said this, not because he cared about the poor, but because he was a thief, and as he kept the money box, he used to steal from what was put into it. 7 Therefore Jesus said, “Leave her alone, so that she may keep it for the day of My burial. 8 For you always have the poor with you, but you do not always have Me.” 9 The large crowd of the Jews then learned that He was there; and they came, not on account of Jesus only, but so that they might also see Lazarus, whom He raised from the dead. 10 But the chief priests planned to put Lazarus to death also, 11 because on account of him many of the Jews were going away and were believing in Jesus.

God was not that angry with the rivers, or the hills. He was angry with the people who had turned away from the word of God and were aiming to not be righteous but hypocrites. You can generally tell a hypocrite by their virtue signals, Judas included. That money would have not gone to the poor but into Judas’ bank account. Virtue signalling does nothing good: it merely spreads hatred and dysfunction. Worship, however, does much. And Christ tells us not to micromanage the means of worship. Bruce Charlton’s analysis of the woke and their great reset is correct: it is a lie, that motivates them to do evil and call it good.

The Great Reset mind-set wants a totalitarian world of Global omni-surveillance and micro-control. But for this to happen needs power; and power needs resources and a predictable, effective system.  Instead we have witnessed an open-ended, semi-controlled demolition of the global economy; and of every social institution including those that are necessary for implementing a worldwide totalitarian system. We see just a handful of ‘display projects’ here and there, to create an impression of crushing totalitarian order; but swamped by the net affect of chaos.  Not only the economy, but transport and power generation/ distribution are being destroyed; not only the arts and entertainments, but also science and health services are being destroyed; not only Christians and anti-left dissidents but also the police and the military are being destroyed.  All kinds of disorder and potential chaos are being deliberately seeded and encouraged all over the place – with the approval (positive official statements, positive mass media coverage) of those in power.   If the Great Reset was going to happen; there would be an exit-strategy from the accelerating chaos; there would be strong countervailing forces in evidence to implement and enforce the surveillance and control; serviced by expert teams of support workers to maintain and improve functionality.  Instead, every institution and organization is convulsed by self-hatred and self-destruction; staffed by useless and evil objectives; with useless and evil personnel; fuelled by antiracism, diversity, feminism, environmentalism and other disposible and incoherent fads; paralyzed by ineffective (as well as unnecessary) responses to the birdemic.  We are incrementally making a world where nobody can do anything – including that nobody can implement a Great Reset.

Charlton Teaching

Most of the media are lying. The used to worry about being caught, now they don’t care because they consider that they have enough state funding to shovel their propaganda out and damn any alternate narrative. They are lying. They know we know they are lying. Their motivation is that they can get away with it.

As much as one can, one walks away. Cut the cord. Do not buy that newspaper. Do not support those who have blogs that do not promote the truth. If someone does, read that, support that. Do not attend mass sporting or cultural events: they have — unless you are in Poland, Russia, or Uganda — been corrupted by the useful idiots of the Rainbow State Department or civil service.

We know this will end badly. We also know that Christ will come and bring true justice. By that time, the window for seeking his mercy will have ended. He will have gathered his own. Let us therefore seek him, while it is still light, and while we have him with us.

I agree.
I believe the Liberals have gone too far, too fast and because of their rush to power will collapse. I’m not sure how soon it will happen or what the leadup and aftermath will be, but I’m certain it will happen – and the sooner it happens, the less pain there will be all around.

I had not thought of it this way, but you are right – they have been destroying the institutions they need to maintain power and force compliance, which will, at some point, come back to bite them.
Due to their loud voices and their control of major media, it seems there are more of them than their actually are – as more and more followers drop away, their calls will become more shrill until they finally collapse. Don’t forget that most national media are based in a few large cities and their view is entirely of what is happening there; they don’t have, or often don’t even try to have, a view of the whole country or world.
I also agree that anyone who wants to survive, and even better thrive, needs to move away from cities. That is where the focus of Liberal activity, pain, and control will be. Like in the USSR, control is looser in rural areas and the farther from the capitol, the looser it is.

I got that idea from Bruce Charlton, and I think he is correct. You can tell it by the shrillness and sovietization of our press
