There is a question we face. Are we of the royal line and the priesthood of God or are we not. This question defines why the progressives hate those of Christ and have an underlying stream of hatred for observant Jews. Secular Jews included. For the progressives of this world have but one God and that is power. They will do whatever it takes to keep power. To them, a high body count is not a bug. It is a feature.

What was the basis of the Great Purge? Even though Stalin binged and purged, it wasn’t bulimia, it was Power. Stalin wanted to keep power. His greatest weapon?

Fear.

And fear is currently the weapon (predictably) used by the Left today. They want to push people to the fringes, isolate them, and then purge them. The first step is making them feel alone.

Of course, there haven’t been executions in the United States. However, Obama purged 197 high-level officers in the first five years of his administration. That’s quite close to the Stalin numbers, and perhaps even greater when you consider that the military in 2000s America is far smaller than in late 1930s Russia.

The purge has lately increased. The current SecDef has made it clear: “The job of the Department of Defense is to keep America safe from our enemies, but we can’t do that if some of those enemies lie within our own ranks.”

Just let that sink in. The current Secretary of Defense has stated that he thinks that the biggest enemies of the United States are in the military, right now. Today. The leadership of the military has already been purged. Now? The rank and file is in the process of being purged. Anyone not actively supporting the Leftist agenda will be drummed out.

This is a form of serfdom: an ideological straitjacket that damns. You can see this in the sense of despair among the fully woke. They know that this path leads to destruction, and they have convinced themselves that there is no damnation, no meaning and no future. Christ did not free us from the bonds of sin at the cost of his life for that.

Exodus 19:1-9

19 On the third new moon after the people of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that day they came into the wilderness of Sinai. 2 They set out from Rephidim and came into the wilderness of Sinai, and they encamped in the wilderness. There Israel encamped before the mountain, 3 while Moses went up to God. The Lord called to him out of the mountain, saying, “Thus you shall say to the house of Jacob, and tell the people of Israel: 4 You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles' wings and brought you to myself. 5 Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice and keep my covenant, you shall be my treasured possession among all peoples, for all the earth is mine; 6 and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation. These are the words that you shall speak to the people of Israel.”

7 So Moses came and called the elders of the people and set before them all these words that the Lord had commanded him. 8 All the people answered together and said, “All that the Lord has spoken we will do.” And Moses reported the words of the people to the Lord. 9 And the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I am coming to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you for ever.”

When Moses told the words of the people to the Lord,

1 Peter 2:4-10

4 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, 5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For it stands in Scripture:

“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone,
a cornerstone chosen and precious,
and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame.”

7 So the honour is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe,

“The stone that the builders rejected
has become the cornerstone”,

8 and

“A stone of stumbling,
and a rock of offence.”

They stumble because they disobey the word, as they were destined to do.

9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light. 10 Once you were not a people, but now you are God's people; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

One of the things this time lacks is mercy. There is pearl clutching and excuses for the criminal classes, and the elite can never be questioned, but there is no mercy for those whom the elite despses. (There is a certain lack of judicial procedure as well).

But God is a God of mercy. The law is right and proper and just and terrible. God bled so the law is moot: he took our punishment and you cannot punish for the same crime twice. .

When the left cannot win by logic or evidence, it damns. We are deplorable, clinging to religion, rednecks, not really black, sexist, cavemen. We are ill educated, anti science, and followers of false narratives. We need re education.

But the spirit of the Lotd breaks all chains, including those of this generation. We are not the names we are called. We are a royal preisthood set aside for the glory of God.

And if the world hated the Jews for they were the people of God and the holders of promises, they will hate the redeemed even more.
