Sunday 21 March 21

It is Sunday, and I’m going to church. I had nightmares last night that the church was invaded by the police because we were not debased, shots were cired, and it all ended in blood. My dreams are normally my fears, and not prophecy.
For those who note the seasons, it is the 5th Sunday in Lent. I don’t most of the time. My church is going to move to Eaaster Services and Easter, and I had a letter from the lcal Jehovah’s Wintess in the letterbox yesterday. They don’t note nay times or seasons at all. Christmas and Easter included.
But the enemy knows the season. The enemy knows the time. And at Easter we celebrate not merely our salvation but the coming defeat of all evil, and a restoration of the rule of Christ.

Look, there is plainly something very strange going on in the background, and you don’t have to be a Christian to figure that out. Forces are moving within and through this world that we do not, and cannot, understand. If you want to have some idea of just how horrific those forces can be, in a fantasy setting, read some of H. P. Lovecraft’s better works – I recommend The Shadow Over Innsmouth, The Dunwich Horror, or his two greatest works, The Call of Cthulhu and At the Mountains of Madness. All of these works will give you some understanding of and insight into the eldritch forces of evil that would drive any normal man insane within moments if he could properly perceive them.
However, I also don’t think that the rise of all of this evil and madness is coincidental.
Think of the date, brothers. We come ever closer to the day that all evil fears and hates – Easter Sunday, the day of the resurrection of Our Lord and King. The day that the god-man Jesus Christ smashed down the Gates of Hell, rose from the dead, and gave life eternal to all of us.
When you look at things from that perspective, you will quickly realise that the evil we see around us is temporary.
The masters of that evil know damned well that they have lost. They are simply trying to maximise the damage that they can do through scorched-earth tactics before their final and total defeat.
That may not be entirely comforting to you in a concrete sense as you fight through the evil that surrounds us. This is where prayer and reflection must come into your life, and that is why you need to make battle meditation a part of your warfighting toolbox.
Stand up and fight, brothers. We have much to be grateful for and more to win. This war requires us to choose a side – and really, that’s the only true choice that any one of us actually has.

There is an enemy, and they lie. . The mythos they dislike they will rewrite, and we will be left in their version of hell, a perperutal yera zero. This is not why Christ came. This is not our salvation. It is right and proper to pray for deliverance from these people. The only loving prayer we can have for them is that they repent.

Enough on this. Let’s break our browsers, in Bible, Prayer and worship.

Collect One
We beseech thee, Almighty God,
look upon the hearty desires of thy humble servants,
and stretch forth the right hand of thy Majesty,
to be our defence against all our enemies;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Almighty and everlasting God,
who hatest nothing that thou hast made,
and dost forgive the sins of all them that are penitent;
Create and make in us new and contrite hearts,
that we worthily lamenting our sins,
and acknowledging our wretchedness,
may obtain of thee, the God of all mercy,
perfect remission and forgiveness;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Jeremiah 31:31-34
31 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, 32 not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. 33 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. 34 And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

Hebrews 5:5-10
5 So also Christ did not exalt himself to be made a high priest, but was appointed by him who said to him,
You are my Son,
today I have begotten you”;“
6 as he says also in another place,
“You are a priest forever,
after the order of Melchizedek.”
7 In the days of his flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to him who was able to save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverence. 8 Although he was a son, he learned obedience through what he suffered. 9 And being made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey him, 10 being designated by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek

There is a covenant. There are those who despise the reformed branch of theology, but the thing that they do understand, perhaps because Calvin was a canon lawyer before his conversion to the evangelical faith, is that there wre a series of legal contracts made.
Consider this. We move, and we need to revise our will. Whe we revise that will, the old will is null and viod: there is a new covenant. Which is why when your circumstances change, you have to find the money required to revise the darn document. In the same way, when the unions and employers negotiate a new collective contract, your your individucal contract is revised, the old one is immaterial. You need to work accordkign the new one.
In Christ the new contract that Jeremiah prophesized has happened. We are not bound to the old contraact where if we break the law we die. We are insteaad in side a new contract, where the law is written in our hearts by the holyy spirit.
For we cannot keep our vows alone, and we cannot fight a spiritual battle without a sirit greate than the spirit of this age.

Let us praise God. Our enemies are belieivng their lies, and becoming stupdi.

But we will proclaim Christ curcified, and offense to the woke and a cause of hatred to the monophysites. For he is the only means of salvation and mercy there is.
