One of the things missing from the evangelical discourse of this time is an undertsnading that we have sinned deeply, irredeemably, and we do not have an excuse. Instead we allow the activists of deabsement to tell us that we are speaking hate whe we seek righteousmess, and that we should instead allow our children to face despair, as they chase the pleasures of this world, and find in their pride of sin there is nothing but despair, mutilation, and institutioalized fornication.
\ We are made male and female. This blog is NSEW.[/caption]
I am not speakng here from a position of righteousness, but as one who has ;pved and lost. This I know. It is far richer to love one woman well, and in Christ, than all the chasing and dating and Commodization and tinderization that exists. And it is far, far ircher to love God.
But we have fallen. We need to start there. We are in a orses state that the Israel of Isaiah.
1 The vision of Isaiah the son of Amoz concerning Judah and Jerusalem, which he saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
2 Listen, heavens, and hear, earth;
For the Lord has spoken:
“Sons I have raised and brought up,
But they have revolted against Me.
3 An ox knows its owner,
And a donkey its master’s manger,
But Israel does not know,
My people do not understand.”
4 Oh, sinful nation,
People weighed down with guilt,
Offspring of evildoers,
Sons who act corruptly!
They have abandoned the Lord,
They have despised the Holy One of Israel,
They have turned away from Him.
16 “Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean;
Remove the evil of your deeds from My sight.
Stop doing evil,
17 Learn to do good;
Rebuke the oppressor,
Obtain justice for the orphan,
Plead for the widow’s case.
18 “Come now, and let us debate your case,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are as scarlet,
They shall become as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be like wool.
19 If you are willing and obedient,
You will eat the best of the land;
20 But if you refuse and rebel,
You will be devoured by the sword.”
For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.
8 Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do, weak as it was through the flesh, God did: sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and as an offering for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 so that the requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. 5 For those who are in accord with the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who are in accord with the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
I am not a fan of dispensationalism and the Schofield Bible. But there is a time for repentance and seeking the mercy of God, and this is that time. We need to repent. We need to seek revival.
For we cannot save ourselves, but God has give us the means for salvation. Beleive That Jewsus Chrust rose from the Grave, and confess his name publically. One of the good things my church does it that it never finishes a service without an appeal for salvation.
So should we all be. It is not that we are less sinful than those who have converged with the satanic spirit of this age, it is that by the grace of God, we bow to Christ alone, and not the idols of this age.
