The text this morning is quite short, and it should be read with the same psalm we had yesterday. The additional thought is that we know the time for Christ’s return grows shorter each day, and that is called by Paul the time of our salvation.

When this test is over. When our affliction will cease. If we look at the big picture, being attached to the tools and things of this world is unwise, particularly when the elite are clearly failing, and the consequences of their policies are obvious, if not by sight then by smell.

When these things happen, it is time to not act as the elite demand, but as we are taught by the word of God. This does not require us to be loud, hostile and angry. We can leave that to the fascists one-eyed activists and antifa. They follow the agenda of this world and are of the darkness. They are debased.

We are instead to be of the light, and to shun debauchery and all works of evil.

Romans 13:11-14

11 Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we first believed. 12 The night is almost gone, and the day is near. Therefore let’s rid ourselves of the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let’s behave properly as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual promiscuity and debauchery, not in strife and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts.

What we can expect now? We know that Mr Biden has tried to gaslight his nation. We also know that NZ and Australia are pushing their elimination strategy hard. There will be pressure to comply, and there will be increasing pressure placed on the vulnerable to rage, cause harm, and allow the elite to blame those who are based: who are not degenerate and trying to find God. This is not only in the USA, though the USA could be an example.

To all of the American patriots who read my scribblings here, I would be very careful if I were you over the next few months. Organised demonstrations by what seems to be your side will be very suspect indeed. The time is to watch and wait, not to act rashly. Let the other side make a move and then don’t react. Stay silent and foreboding. Make them wonder what you are going to do and if and when something will happen. They have the patience of a five year old at his birthday party.

I have great sympathy for the Groundswell movement in NZ and can understand why the nationalists in NZ (both Maori and Pakeha) are demonstrating. We are being provoked. But there is a very great change that the demonstrations will be used against us.

It is time to be quiet, grey, and where the crowds are not. Because the tantrums of the elite will be short lived. They do not have the patience to let things complete their course.

And while we stand, we silently give witness to Christ. May this bring revival, and may the nation turn to Christ.

For the time for this is getting, inevitably, shorter.

The photo of the sign about reading the Bible, the Word, is a good kick in the pants reminder.
Read, let the Word soak in. Ask for the Spirit, the Comforter.
