Kea and I had a very long conversation yesterday about a post that one of her friends put up which said that "you have earned all your money, now spend it together with your spouse before you die, and don’t worry about your kids or what happens to your spouse next". It was facebook, and I don’t look at that boomer swamp. We then discussed how this was evil, selfish, and destructive.
Which is pretty much were the current generation is at, but we know this. This is why there is protests, and a coming storm.
I confidently expect that the powers that be will ratchet up their campaign for universal vaccination to previously unheard-of levels, trying to scare the population into compliance. This will be the "smokescreen" behind which they try to pass unacceptable legislation like that discussed above, in the hope that we won’t notice amidst all the sound and fury over COVID-19. I somehow don’t think it’s going to work. Throughout Europe over the past week, massive protests have blown up over attempts to steamroller society into draconian measures. Hundreds of thousands of citizens have taken to the streets to reject such demands – but the mainstream media in the USA has had almost nothing to say about them. Why? Because they – and their Uniparty and oligarch masters – don’t want Americans to know how huge the opposition to their agenda is becoming in the rest of the world. Fortunately, they don’t control all the news media and social media yet. Look for the details for yourself, including TV footage. They speak for themselves.
The question, of course, is whether enough Americans have seen through the COVID-19 smokescreen to understand – and resist – what’s going on.
The passage for today is fairly clear, and is still relevant to any nation at any time. God does not play favourites. We are blessed more than the Jews of Moses time, for we have Christ, who is bigger than Moses.
If we keep the laws of God, it will go well. But we have not kept the laws of God. Our elite will perish, unless they repent. As for the leaders of our nation, so the nation: as for the leaders of the church, so the church.
8 “All the commandments that I am commanding you today you shall be careful to do, so that you may live and increase, and go in and take possession of the land which the Lord swore to give to your forefathers. 2 And you shall remember all the way which the Lord your God has led you in the wilderness these forty years, in order to humble you, putting you to the test, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep His commandments or not. 3 And He humbled you and let you go hungry, and fed you with the manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, in order to make you understand that man shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the Lord. 4 Your clothing did not wear out on you, nor did your foot swell these forty years. 5 So you are to know in your heart that the Lord your God was disciplining you just as a man disciplines his son. 6 Therefore, you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him. 7 For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of streams of water, of fountains and springs, flowing out in valleys and hills; 8 a land of wheat and barley, of vines, fig trees, and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey; 9 a land where you will eat food without shortage, in which you will not lack anything; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you can dig copper. 10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, you shall bless the Lord your God for the good land which He has given you.
11 “Be careful that you do not forget the Lord your God by failing to keep His commandments, His ordinances, and His statutes which I am commanding you today; 12 otherwise, when you eat and are satisfied, and you build good houses and live in them, 13 and when your herds and your flocks increase, and your silver and gold increase, and everything that you have increases, 14 then your heart will become proud and you will forget the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery; 15 He who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions, and its thirsty ground where there was no water; He who brought water for you out of the rock of flint. 16 In the wilderness it was He who fed you manna which your fathers did not know, in order to humble you and in order to put you to the test, to do good for you [e]in the end. 17 Otherwise, you may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’ 18 But you are to remember the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, in order to confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. 19 And it shall come about, if you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods and serve and worship them, I testify against you today that you will certainly perish. 20 Like the nations that the Lord eliminates from you, so you shall perish, because you would not listen to the voice of the Lord your God.
27 Now you are Christ’s body, and individually parts of it. 28 And God has appointed in the church, first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, and various kinds of tongues. 29 All are not apostles, are they? All are not prophets, are they? All are not teachers, are they? All are not workers of miracles, are they? 30 All do not have gifts of healings, do they? All do not speak with tongues, do they? All do not interpret, do they? 31 But earnestly desire the greater gifts.
And yet, I am going to show you a far better way.
Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been trying to think about what I can do in this situation. In New Zealand we are getting woke blasphemy laws and gay blasphemy laws — I was quietly chuffed when the USA woman’s Rainbow Soccer team bowed out (as did the Kiwi Girl Hockey team, which is as lauded and toxic).
The first thing we need to do is not comply. This is a very Kiwi thing. Smile, nod, and do the precise opposite of what the media and government are telling us to do.
It’s very scary to step outside that narrative, just as it would be very hard for the average cow heading for the slaughterhouse to step outside the herd. It’s not spite or misery loving company that causes them to put pressure upon you, it’s merely an understandable preference for a belief in a nice, easy, and essentially good world instead of the fallen planet ruled by evil sociopathy that it actually is.
Leave them to their ignorant bliss. There is nothing you can do for them now, except permit them to live in peaceful, unthinking tranquility until the brutality of the real world forcibly intrudes upon it.
Meanwhile, the vaxx-pushers continue pushing fake news in a futile effort to trawl for more gullible idiots
We were not redeemed by the precious blood of Christ to be idiots. We are given people within the church appointed to teach and provide and heal so that the church is built up and strong and the truth is preserved.
And yes, there is a better way than considering material prosperity and peace and the building up of one’s family and church.
But most people look not at the spiritual, but the phsycial. If God is merciful, we will merely lose our welfare state, and again the church shall be the shelter for the poor and broken.
Let us pray that this is so.
But more, let us pray for revival. If the people reject the elite and choose God, there is nothing the elite can do.
So choose God.
