20 years ago this day, the twin towers were destroyed because Islamic radicals decided they would fly planes into them. The perpetrators have been caught, the war became over reach, and yesterday I got a text from the church saying that instead of doing good around town during lockdown we will get food for the food bank and household goods for the Afghani refugees left after Biden imploded the American Empire.

That day was, and remains, seared into the minds of everyone who saw it unfold on television. I remember vividly what I felt walking down the stairs of our house that Tuesday evening (we were watching the madness unfold at about 7pm our time, given our time zone), and thinking that I was watching some sort of strange new movie. Only when my father confirmed that we were watching CNN and the BBC, did I realise that it was absolutely real. Planes had flown straight into the World Trade Centre’s two towers, killing hundreds.

And I watched as thousands more died in fire and horror when the towers collapsed.

That was the end of innocence for many of us. I didn’t realise it at the time, but that was the day that I finally came to understand the reality that the world is, in fact, a very, very dangerous place.

Here we are, twenty years later. During that time, an entire generation was born and came to adulthood. The people born in 2001 are now older than I was, on that horrible day when the world stood still.

We need to ask ourselves if we ever learned anything in the intervening 20 years. The overwhelming preponderance of evidence tells us definitively, NO. We have not.

Didact.

This led to a generation of men fought for freedom and the west. All the battles were won except the one that matters: the determination of the elite to win. They never had this. And those who bled? Their families? They have been rewarded with tyranny.

I hope WIlder is correct, and Biden’s team is bluffing. He’s requiring all employers with over 100 employees to ensure everyone is vaccinated. He’s got too many points in his plan to be effective, and he’s gone full fascist.

There are the conspiracy-theory vexxine passports when they promised would never come, which are not strictly required. But they’re on the Slippery Slope, which we have learned through hard experience is greased right down into the cesspool.

If you are vexxed or unvexxed and go along with the vexxine passports, you are part of the problem. If your entertainment is more valuable than your liberty, you deserve what you get. If you can’t know by now how these will descend into further and more restrictive mandates, for the doom or for many other things, you are either simple or deluded.

Incidentally, Scotland, in what can’t be a coincidence, at the same time as Biden’s speech, announced vexxine passports.

I heard some complaints that Congress would never pass laws for these things. And I laughed. Congress as a power? Please.

Not one of these “solutions” will put the least dent in coronadoom.

It naturally and because of previous, built-in causes, fading. But they will take credit for this soon. They will be lying. Remember it.

Yes: Biden did lie when he said earlier say, out loud on TV in front of large audiences and with cameras recording it, that he would not require vexxine mandates or masked.

This lie is meaningless. This is why they do not let him answer questions. He can’t remember he lied, he can’t remember what he just read. They are worried he will go off script if confronted with his old words, so they whisky him (the speed is relative) away before it comes to that.

We accept these lies as easily as we accept rain on a picnic. It is a natural hazard with politicians in our Expertocracy.

Briggs is not merely a place to find Thomist systemic theology. He does know his statistics, and knows the natural history of viral epidemics. They start of severe and become benign. Without us doing a darn thing. Consider the Asian flu of 1957: my parents remember it because one of them got it a couple of days before they married. It’s now benign. This will happen over time with COVID. Vox Day comments:

Aside from the support for monoclonal antibody treatment, there’s literally nothing good one can say about this plan. I’m just surprised that they didn’t go right for the flight bans, but then, they are probably under the mistaken illusion that those who are still unvaccinated won’t even hesitate to quit their jobs rather than submit to the death jabs.

Vox Day.

I can’t use the USA as an example that much, because Australia is further down that pathway, and NZ will follow behind. But the authority they have is false. Their use of experts is selective, and they will defend those they use despite them not keeping their own law.

The authority we have is from the Kingdom of God, which they are blinded to.

23 And when he entered the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came up to him as he was teaching, and said, “By what authority are you doing these things, and who gave you this authority?” 24 Jesus answered them, “I also will ask you one question, and if you tell me the answer, then I also will tell you by what authority I do these things. 25 The baptism of John, from where did it come? From heaven or from man?” And they discussed it among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven’, he will say to us, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ 26 But if we say, ‘From man’, we are afraid of the crowd, for they all hold that John was a prophet.” 27 So they answered Jesus, “We do not know.” And he said to them, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.

28 “What do you think? A man had two sons. And he went to the first and said, ‘Son, go and work in the vineyard today.’ 29 And he answered, ‘I will not’, but afterwards he changed his mind and went. 30 And he went to the other son and said the same. And he answered, ‘I go, sir’, but did not go. 31 Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said, “The first.” Jesus said to them, “Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes go into the kingdom of God before you. 32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes believed him. And even when you saw it, you did not afterwards change your minds and believe him.

Matthew 21:23-32

The alternative text is Rahab and her family being rescued. Not the last time that those in the demimonde know more about how to protect themselves and their families than the ruling elite. Or that the demimonde had more honesty and honour than the local king. Or our current rulers. Larry has had a beautiful rant, not safe for kiddies, so below the bar.

But oh no! After several days of big tech jamming clumsy memes and pro-choice slogans down America’s throats, polling shows the public aren’t sufficiently distracted from the fact we don’t actually have a president! Quick! Quit talking about how bodily autonomy is sacred and switch to how bodily autonomy is evil, because we’re flipping the dial back to vaccine mandates!

But wait… We’ve already covered all that bullshit ad nauseum all year. Everybody has made up their mind. Nobody trusts the authorities they’re supposed to trust because the experts keep getting caught lying their asses off, or being wrong, and no experts ever gets held accountable. So how are we going to reignite this crisis which has pretty much ceased being a crisis in most of the country (don’t believe me on that? Get out of your arbitrarily locked down blue city and check out all the videos of maskless college students having fun at football games like normal human beings again. The Jump Around video brought a tear to my eye. Watching people have basic happiness will bring joy to your shriveled little hearts)

So how do we put more new fresh crisis into our old tired crisis, sufficient that people will quit paying attention to the fact we don’t have a functioning government?

I know! Let’s have this unpopular, incompetent, corrupt executive branch go for an insane power grab! They can’t even guard an airport from a bunch of goat rapists, but by golly, they’re going to swagger back to America, say fuck you Separation of Powers, fuck your Three Branches of Government, tear off a big chunk of the Constitution and wipe their ass with it on TV, all in the name of “the greater good”. That’s sure to be a hit!

For those of you who slept through School House Rock, that’s not how any of this shit is supposed to work. However, the executive being able to just give itself crazy new powers on the fly is the inevitable end of the road that we’ve been on for quite some time.

I will say this again: the government in New Zealand is no better. In fact, it is up to its neck in this coordinated global rainbow fascism.

Our current policy is: grey man and pirate finance.

  1. Our health information, including vaccine status is no one’s business. Do not answer that email. Do not take that survey.
  2. I have religious and pragmatic reasons not to get an mRNA vaccine. If the employer demands, ask for a religious exemption.
  3. Do not resign. Let them sack you.
  4. Reconfigure what you do so there is no rational reason to sack you.
  5. Go private.
  6. In the meantime, save as much as possible, and spread that money around institutions. ANZ was down three days in a row due to DDOS
  7. There is a suggestion this morning that the freedom lovers find a small town and take it over. The trouble with that in NZ is the police are not local, and have been bullying those who noncomply with the hypocritical regulations send down by our PM. But look at where one can be safe.

I expect this will blow over. Middlemore had to send 29 doctors and nurses and cleaners home this week due exposure COVID. All our hospitals are too small and understaffed.

Going full fascist is without authority and it will end badly. But we can see this, for our loyalty is to Christ.

The trouble with that in NZ is the police are not local”

This is so important. There is a movement in the United States to ensure that we have what are called “constitutional sheriffs”. For those of you non-USAians, sheriffs are the local law enforcement outside the towns. They are generally elected and they have a pretty wide mandate to determine enforcement of laws in unincorporated areas. In towns and cities we have police departments which are generally run by chiefs hired by the city councils (or their designated managers). The “constitutional sheriff” model has Americans pushing to defend their rights by electing sheriffs who believe that it is their job to push back against unconstitutional mandates from the federal or state governments by refusing to enforce those mandates. Since we have only small statewide police forces (usually referred to as “state patrol” and of limited numbers and specific powers), these sheriffs are in a very strong position and, as an elected official, can’t be summarily removed by the state or federal authorities.
