I had a long talk with son one. He’s observant, and notes that many of his generation have “taken the black pill and given up”. He notes that there is a disconnect between self improvement and romantic success. So I asked him what the message that the government is giving us.
One word answer. Fear.
We are supposed to be afraid. Of the COVID. Of global warming. Of floods. We are supposed to take responsibility for everything bad. We are supposed to absolve the minorities of their disapproved health choices. (I want to remind them that if they eat proper and train proper they lose weight and become ultrafit: see our sevens rugby teams which are 80% Islanders or Maori).
We are supposed to live healthily, but much of this is a lie. Adam has the correct response.
… they’re just profiting off modern man’s shallow desire to live just one more day no matter what the cost. That’s why they’re trying to jab 12 year olds with this toxic crap so the old fucks can live just one more day, it’s all I’ve got, hey, did you see my boat and my Porsche and the ski lodge?
Everything they have told you is a lie. Don’t take their pills, don’t take their jabs, don’t follow their dietary recommendations, don’t do their exercise routines, don’t take 0.7 glasses of wine per day while you have your 1.2 kids, don’t listen to their music recommendations, or their reading material, or watch their evil films, don’t do any of it. Don’t be a boring shitless bastard that does just what he’s told and then has the sheer stupidity to try and lecture those of us who haven’t fallen for the crap and are trying with some very small success to wake you all the fuck up.
Smoke a cigarette. Drive an old V8 with the top down. Go to church with a smile on your face and your hot young wife twenty five years your junior on your arm. Now is the time to be a true contrarian. If you do the opposite of everything the government and its braindead NPC lackeys tell you to do then your life will have been worth living. And maybe you will have contributed to their downfall by your refusal to believe the lies.Adam Piggott.
There is no moral fault in smoking, and I have never smoked. Long distance training as a kid. I now take medications, because I ate the approved foods and got fat. I don’t do that. He forgot to mention that one should be a carnivore, and being vegan is no virtue.
Unlike Adam, I am married — we are officially from ‘different generations’ despite there being less than ten years behind us. I ride an e-bike around town, but drive a V6 turbo, and approve of the V8.
There are great moral faults in sexual sin. Which is now promoted. There is more in mutilating children for transgender virtue points. Or abortion.
We need to remember where the sins are. And that all sins can be forgiven. Look at Rahab.
2 And Joshua the son of Nun sent two men secretly from Shittim as spies, saying, “Go, view the land, especially Jericho.” And they went and came into the house of a prostitute whose name was Rahab and lodged there. 2 And it was told to the king of Jericho, “Behold, men of Israel have come here tonight to search out the land.” 3 Then the king of Jericho sent to Rahab, saying, “Bring out the men who have come to you, who entered your house, for they have come to search out all the land.” 4 But the woman had taken the two men and hidden them. And she said, “True, the men came to me, but I did not know where they were from. 5 And when the gate was about to be closed at dark, the men went out. I do not know where the men went. Pursue them quickly, for you will overtake them.” 6 But she had brought them up to the roof and hid them with the stalks of flax that she had laid in order on the roof. 7 So the men pursued after them on the way to the Jordan as far as the fords. And the gate was shut as soon as the pursuers had gone out.
8 Before the men lay down, she came up to them on the roof 9 and said to the men, “I know that the Lord has given you the land, and that the fear of you has fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the land melt away before you. 10 For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, to Sihon and Og, whom you devoted to destruction.[c] 11 And as soon as we heard it, our hearts melted, and there was no spirit left in any man because of you, for the Lord your God, he is God in the heavens above and on the earth beneath. 12 Now then, please swear to me by the Lord that, as I have dealt kindly with you, you also will deal kindly with my father’s house, and give me a sure sign 13 that you will save alive my father and mother, my brothers and sisters, and all who belong to them, and deliver our lives from death.” 14 And the men said to her, “Our life for yours even to death! If you do not tell this business of ours, then when the Lord gives us the land we will deal kindly and faithfully with you.”Joshua 2:1-14
17 By faith Abraham, when he was tested, offered up Isaac, and he who had received the promises was in the act of offering up his only son, 18 of whom it was said, “Through Isaac shall your offspring be named.” 19 He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back. 20 By faith Isaac invoked future blessings on Jacob and Esau. 21 By faith Jacob, when dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, bowing in worship over the head of his staff. 22 By faith Joseph, at the end of his life, made mention of the exodus of the Israelites and gave directions concerning his bones.Hebrews 11:17-22
Christ said that worry would not add one second to our life. We are here to serve God, and death is an enemy Christ as defeated. It is much better (as Adam said, read his posts!) to spend our last days with our family and in the word of God, than to go seeking one more day of this life, for you are aware, deep down, that when you have to give account for your life you will be found wanting. The fear is not working. So the rulers are going to argue for compulsion.
Which is a greater evil.
We have arrived at the stage of bat flu mania where a large number of people are insisting that governments suspend our right to withhold our consent and compel us to take the vaccines. Such people might object to this description of their demands but it is accurate nevertheless. Putting a gun to someone’s head and telling him to get vaccinated or you pull the trigger – get the shot or get shot – is not the only form of compulsion. To tell someone that to retain his employment he must get the jab is to put a metaphorical gun to his job. To tell someone that to regain all the freedoms that were taken from him at the beginning of the bat flu scare, especially access to all the public spaces that were closed at that time, he will have to prove he has been fully vaccinated is to put the same gun to his freedom, which he will not get back even if he does comply, because access to all these places if you can produce the right documents is not the freedom that he had before. The person who gets vaccinated in any of these instances, who would not have gotten vaccinated otherwise, has not given his voluntary, informed, consent. The coercion involved invalidates the consent.Throne and Altar
The pagans in Jericho were paralyzed by fear. They knew their sin. They has lost the moral ground.
There will be threats from such. But we are not to let the fear rule us, nor the Karens who have lost all reason because they see promoting fear as virtue.
We will replace fear with faith. If nothing else, but for the sake of our children.
