I have a confidence that the path that I am being led on will eventually glorify God. But I am waiting for the final negotiations with the employer, that will end a career. The organization I have worked for over a decade in is now neo pagan, and the ritual for entrance is getting an mRNA jab. Despite the problems with them. This is coercion. It is not of God. The data around the efficacy of these treatments is getting worse.
This is a time when I may have to walk away from ten year plans because remaining in that alliance will cost too much. One does not know what will happen. Often things are bleaker before God acts, so none of can boast that it was our work.
The other day I wrote that the globalists were in a position of holding a losing hand after a deceptively strong start. My outtake was that they would continue to double down in futile efforts to extract a winning hand. But I had not considered the possibility that they would attempt to fold without losing credibility.
Consider the nation of Austria. The government’s actions, which include mandatory vaccination for the entire population from February, are now causing the police and military to turn against it. What if the Austrian government fell; not to the opposition government but to a genuine revolution of the people? What sort of cascading effect which such an event have on the rest of the world?
Most likely, it would be dominoes.
This is but one example. The globalists were confident that the people were sufficiently divorced from spirituality and wedded to the world of materialism to bow down to their plans under threat of losing all. That has not eventuated. Instead, millions upon millions of people around the world are refusing to kowtow to the authorities. Just today there was the expiry of a mandate in Western Australia that fly in/fly out workers would have to be vaxxed. Instead, workers are descending en masse to the State Parliament to leave their work uniforms on the steps of the building in protest. This is not how they expected it would go.
The people have worked out that they are being gamed. Their faith in the state and progress is broken. But this is the time when John the Baptizer was born. And out of the tyranny of this time, we will either repent or we will be enslaved. Looking at the people I saw this morning as we went to a coffee shop for the last time before the traffic lights system bans us from them, I saw unfit, tattooed hipsters. They are akin to lambs, fattened.
But Christ came so we would not perish but have eternal life
68 “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
for he has visited and redeemed his people
69 and has raised up a horn of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David,
70 as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,
71 that we should be saved from our enemies
and from the hand of all who hate us;
72 to show the mercy promised to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant,
73 the oath that he swore to our father Abraham, to grant us
74 that we, being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
might serve him without fear,
75 in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
76 And you, child, will be called the prophet of the Most High;
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his ways,
77 to give knowledge of salvation to his people
in the forgiveness of their sins,
78 because of the tender mercy of our God,
whereby the sunrise shall visit us from on high
79 to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
12 I want you to know, brothers, that what has happened to me has really served to advance the gospel, 13 so that it has become known throughout the whole imperial guard and to all the rest that my imprisonment is for Christ. 14 And most of the brothers, having become confident in the Lord by my imprisonment, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15 Some indeed preach Christ from envy and rivalry, but others from good will. 16 The latter do it out of love, knowing that I am put here for the defence of the gospel. 17 The former proclaim Christ out of rivalry, not sincerely but thinking to afflict me in my imprisonment. 18 What then? Only that in every way, whether in pretence or in truth, Christ is proclaimed, and in that I rejoice.
Yes, and I will rejoice,
Last night we were troubled. We were dealing with a church that plans to reopen in compliance with the very medical apartheid that is leading to me walking away from a career that had a decade’s fuel left in it. Kea asked me this morning what I am doing. The answer is that I am greiving for a path that is no longer viable. I hate change: but change is being forced.
If Paul can say his imprisonment worked for the gospel, then I can say that this inconvenience and hassle is for the gospel as well.
I pray that my nation repents. I pray that all nations repent. But until then, we have to align to God and God first. The state cannot be our God.
Nor can we have any Gods before him.
