I am quoting Julia du Fresne from Canto Fermo more frequently, because the Papist hierarchy is a warning. Those who are faithful and are of Christ are finding that the information they read internationally — there is a thing known as the Catholic internet — shows that the compliance the church has in NZ with what is now demonstrably an evil and artificial project is not shared everywhere. The Catholics are one with the liberals and the megachurches. They are not preaching salvation. Instead they are preaching a strange gospel.

Here in New Zealand the Church goes a whole lot further than failing to protest against the fetal industry and its products. Churchmen here have the gall to advertise the Pfizer killer vaccine and exclude good Catholics who refuse it from Holy Mass and Communion.

Even worse: this morning a Novus Ordo priest in an unnamed parish told a penitent in Confession to pursue happiness by taking the Jab. As a Latin Massgoer conversant with Church teaching, she found his advice “horrific”. But it serves as a graphic illustration of the Novus Ordo effect on priests: so many have lost the Faith.

Just as outside my parish church sandwich boards go up on Sunday mornings now, announcing “Kia Ora. Vaccine Pass required for entry.” The irony of wishing “good health” and the requirement of proof of injection with an experimental gene serum has totally escaped Father and his Parish Council. That’s more evidence of the NO effect: since Vatican II churchgoers have become progressively dumbed-down.

It would seem that in New Zealand the preaching of faithful priests is one of the means which we don’t have. Going by St Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, woe is coming unto New Zealand’s Church hierarchy and the overwhelming majority of our priests. The faithful laity (of which no small number is Novus Ordo, of course) have to take up the slack.

Canto Fermo.
This is where the US Catholic Hierarchy is at. It is not of Christ.

On my more cynical days when people go “Kia Ora” I am tempted to reply “Salve et tu“. In the West a knowledge of Latin, not Maori, was a sign of secondary education, Protestants included, and a university the working language was, until Victorian times Latin. The Book of Common Prayer was translated into Latin for the two English University towns, Oxford and Cambridge.

The use of Maori is not the use of the vernacular, unless you are in the East Cape or the Hokianga. Everywhere else Maori is a secular liturgical language. It is used to hide things.

We need to suspect those who would hide things. They won’t confess their wrongs to Christ, for their deeds are evil.

John 3:16-21

16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish, but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but so that the world might be saved through Him. 18 The one who believes in Him is not judged; the one who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed. 21 But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God.”

NASB

Please note that the same thing is happening in all the big churches. The only outliers are the very small and crunchy groups: the hardcore reformed, orthodox and catholic, the smaller pentecostal churches. The NZ government has met with many religious leaders, and will not listen to their concerns, but insists instead that they listen to them. This has got a number of priests and pastors compromised. They don’t think that restricting services — Julia’s example happens across all branches of the church — is evil.

I do. I want the unvaxxed, the marginalized, and the stoned to walk into church. Though they reek. Though their cursings and ravings need to be dealt with. Because whenever we preach the gospel, there is a moment where there is mercy. Christ did not say that some who believed in him would be welcome. He said everyone.

We need to repent of the woke Gospel. It is an idolatry. We need instead to look to Christ. This will mean we don’t comply with the minions of this government. They will try to regulate us out of existence. But the spirit of God is like the wind. It blows through the synthetic structures of society.

And calls us to Christ. Do not quench that spirit. Quench the strictures of this evil state.
